What is PRP?
It is a natural product created when our blood is spun down and separated in a centrifuge. It has been used clinically for skin wound healing for over a decade, and is now available for facial rejuvenation. It is safe and effective on all skin types and colors and there is little to no risk of allergic reaction because it is comprised of material from our own bodies. It has been found to be a very effective, minimally invasive anti-aging procedure.
How does it help?
When injected into our face the growth factors add volume while simultaneously stimulating regeneration of our own collagen. Wrinkles are softened and overall texture and tone is often improved. It can also be used in combination with microneedling, microdermabrasion, and hyaluronic acid fillers such as juvederm.
What to expect before during and after:
After a consult to determine the client needs, a small sample of blood is drawn by the practitioner and spun down in our centrifuge to reveal the most healing and regenerative properties our blood has to offer. Numbing cream is applied to the face and the PRP is then injected into the areas of the face that have lost volume or elasticity. The total process does not take more than 45 minutes and there is no downtime. The results begin to show 3-4 weeks after the treatment session, continue to improve with time, and are long lasting. Two to three treatments are generally recommended 1 month apart to achieve the best outcome.
